Each of the scratch techniques used in this lesson is broken down throughout the course, but here we show you 2 amazing scratch techniques that are quick to learn!
Scratching on a DJ controller is easier than ever thanks to our unique scratching tools, which allow you to follow along with each video and hear each scratch pattern from inside your DJ software/equipment.

Free Lesson #1 One-Click Flare (Beginner Level)

This is where scratching starts to get way more intricate. Flare scratches allow you to create way more sounds with fewer clicks because it’s an open-fader technique.

Free Lesson #2 Boomerang (Advanced Level)

In this lesson, you will learn how to master the boomerang scratch, a technique that creates a distinctive looping effect through a smooth, back-and-forth motion.

You’ll gain insights into the precise timing and coordination required between the record and crossfader to produce this unique sound.

The boomerang scratch is especially useful for scratch DJs looking to add rhythmic complexity and a captivating element to their performances, setting them apart with a signature style.
