This website is operated by Crossfader Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Crossfader Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

What Data We Collect
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, as well as data collected automatically when you use our website and platform.
Information You Provide
This includes:
- Your name and email address
- Account login details
- Billing and payment information
- Any information you provide when contacting us
- Your course activity and progress
- If you enter a giveaway through Instagram: your Instagram username or ID
- If you win a giveaway: your name, delivery address and country, and confirmation that you are 18 or over
Automatically Collected Data
When you use our website, we may automatically collect:
- Your IP address
- Device and browser type
- Pages visited and interactions
- Session behaviour and engagement
- Traffic source data (such as UTM parameters)
- Your device’s timezone when you enter a giveaway on our website, from which we work out a rough country
- Your device’s timezone when you sign in or record progress on our website or app, which we save to your account so your daily goal and streak follow your own day
- Information from Google reCAPTCHA on our forms, such as your IP address and browser or device details, used to detect bots
Marketing & Tracking Data (with consent, or in the United States unless you opt out)
Where you provide consent (or, in the United States, unless you opt out), we may collect:
- Advertising identifiers
- Interaction with advertisements
- Behaviour used for analytics and optimisation
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless you choose to provide it.
How We Use Your Data
We collect and use your data to deliver our services effectively, improve your experience, and ensure our platform remains relevant and useful. We may use your data for the following purposes:
Core Service Delivery
- Provide access to courses and content
- Manage your account
- Process payments
- Track your daily goal and streak in your own timezone
Communication
- Send service updates and account-related messages
- Respond to enquiries
- Send marketing communications (where you have opted in, including when you agree to receive our emails to enter a giveaway)
Analytics & Improvement
- Understand how users interact with our platform
- Improve website performance and user experience
Marketing & Advertising (with consent)
- Deliver relevant advertising
- Measure campaign performance
- Build audiences for advertising platforms
Partner Programmes
- Where you create an account through a partner promotion (for example, by scanning a code on a Numark product), we share the account details you provide (such as your name and email address) with that partner (Numark Industries LLC) to support your onboarding and product experience. We only do this where you have signed up through that partner’s campaign.
Giveaways and Prize Draws
This section applies when you enter one of our giveaways. Each giveaway also has its own Terms.
What we collect
Your email address; your device’s timezone and a rough country worked out from it (website entries only); your Instagram username or ID if you enter through Instagram; which link you came from; and a record of your agreement to receive our emails (the date and time, where you entered and the wording you agreed to). Our entry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop bots, which collects information such as your IP address and browser or device details. If you win, we also collect your name and delivery address, and we confirm your country and that you are 18 or over.
Why we use it
- To run the giveaway, choose and contact the winner and deliver the prize.
- To send you emails from Crossfader about the giveaway, free DJ lessons and offers, including our sales. You agree to this when you enter, and it is a condition of entering. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by emailing us. If you do, we will stop marketing emails and you will stay entered in the giveaway.
- To check the winner is eligible and to comply with sanctions and other laws.
- To see which channels bring in entries, to keep the entry form secure and stop bots, and to show on request that a genuine winner was chosen.
If you unsubscribe, we will still email you about the giveaway where we need to, for example to tell you that you have won, but those emails will not contain marketing.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the giveaway: ManyChat (which runs Instagram entries), Customer.io (our email provider), Google (reCAPTCHA), delivery couriers, and our website and IT providers. Instagram (Meta) sees your activity on its platform under its own privacy policy, and Google’s privacy policy and terms apply to reCAPTCHA. On request, we give the surname and county (or country) of a winner to show a valid award took place.
How long we keep it
Your email address and the record of your agreement are kept until you unsubscribe from our emails, after which we keep only enough to make sure we don’t email you again. A winner’s name and delivery address are kept for 12 months, and a basic prize and delivery record for 6 years for our accounts.
Mix Feedback
This section applies when you use Mix Feedback, our tool that gives AI feedback on a recorded DJ mix, including during the Mix Feedback beta. The beta also has its own Terms.
What we collect
- Your mix audio is not collected. It is analysed in your browser and is never uploaded to us or stored by us.
- For each report we save to your account the results of that analysis (such as tempo, energy, beat timing, musical key and where the tracks change), the mix title, genre and venue you choose, any tracklist and notes you add, and the feedback report.
- If you import your Rekordbox library for track suggestions, it stays in your browser on that device and is not sent to us.
- If you fill in the beta feedback form: your email address, your answers, and whether you agreed to be quoted or contacted about your answers.
- How you use Mix Feedback, such as when you start an analysis or open a report, through the analytics described in this policy, and technical error reports when something goes wrong.
Why we use it
- To write your feedback report and keep your reports so you can come back to them. We need this to provide the tool you asked for.
- To count your mixes and check whether you qualify for the beta reward, and to choose the tee winners.
- To understand how Mix Feedback is used and improve it, using how the tool is used and your form answers. This is in our legitimate interests.
- To find and fix errors.
- To quote your feedback publicly, with your first name only, but only if you agreed to that on the form. You can withdraw that agreement at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic, our AI provider, receives the analysis results, mix title, genre, venue, tracklist and notes so it can write each report. It doesn’t receive your name or email address. Anthropic doesn’t use what we send it to train its models, and deletes it within 30 days, unless its automated safety checks flag it for breaking Anthropic’s usage policy, in which case it can keep it for up to 2 years.
- Typeform runs the beta feedback form.
- Vercel hosts Mix Feedback, and Sentry receives error reports.
- Customer.io, our email provider, receives some of your Mix Feedback activity: when you finish an analysis, see a locked part of a free report, reach your monthly free limit, import a Rekordbox library, or click through to the Complete DJ Package. We use it to send you messages about Mix Feedback and, if you’ve agreed to receive our emails, relevant offers.

How long we keep it
- Your saved reports stay on your account until you delete them. Deleting a report removes it permanently. If you delete your account and want your saved reports deleted too, email us and we will delete them.
- Beta feedback form answers are kept until 12 months after Mix Feedback launches, then deleted.
- Tee winners’ names and delivery addresses are kept for 12 months, and a basic record of the reward for 6 years for our accounts.
Advertising and Remarketing
We use advertising platforms to reach new users and to show relevant content to people who have previously visited our website.
These platforms may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Track your interaction with our website
- Build audiences for advertising
- Show relevant adverts on other platforms
Platforms we use include:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
- TikTok
- Google Ads
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing)
These platforms may combine data collected from your visit to our website with information they already hold about you.
Where you have given consent (or, in the United States, unless you have opted out), we may also share details of your purchase with these platforms, including your email address in a secure, irreversible coded form, so they can measure how their advertising performs.
With Microsoft Advertising, we share the value, currency and order reference of your purchase, but not your email address or other contact details.
Advertising tracking is only activated after you provide consent, or, if you are in the United States, unless you opt out.

You can withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in them, or by emailing us.
International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party providers operate outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area.
Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:
- Standard contractual clauses
- Working with providers that comply with recognised data protection frameworks
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services

Giveaway data is kept for the periods set out in “Giveaways and Prize Draws” above.
Mix Feedback data is kept for the periods set out in “Mix Feedback” above.

Your US State Privacy Rights
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or another US state with a similar privacy law, you have the rights below.
What we collect
The categories are set out in What Data We Collect: identifiers (such as your name, email address, IP address and cookie or advertising IDs), purchase history, website and app activity, and approximate location based on your IP address.
“Selling” and “sharing”
We do not sell your personal information for money. When you visit our website from the United States, we allow advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, Google and Microsoft) to collect information through cookies and similar technologies, so we can show you relevant adverts and measure how our advertising performs. Under some US state laws this counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, or as “targeted advertising”.
How to opt out
Click “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” at the bottom of any page, or use the notice shown when you first visit. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out automatically.
Your other rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct it
- Delete it
We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email info@wearecrossfader.co.uk. We will confirm your identity before acting on it and reply within 45 days. You can ask someone to make a request on your behalf if you give them written permission.
Appeals
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond within 60 days.
Children
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Access controls and internal security procedures
