Our Thoughts..
We think this mixer could be a great centre piece to a simple DVS using turntablist set up. It seems to have a great build with focus on the basics. We love the Magvel crossfader and it’s alos nice to see isolator EQs featured.
To make the most of this mixer using Serato DJ you would definitely need to add the DDJ SP1 controller (pictured above) to your set up. The DDJ SP1 allows you to access nearly all of Serato DJs features, from hot cues, to FX and much more.
It would have been really nice to see the paddles from the DJM S9 or at least 4 hot cue pads featured on this mixer. I feel like adding one of the features from the S9 would tie it in nicely and help sell way more of these units. We’re seeing hot cues added with other brands like Mixars, but are we paying for build quality with Pioneer?
