Spotify Integration Arrives in rekordbox for Mac/Windows.

This is a huge step forward as millions of us already use Spotify every day to discover new music, and being able to find new tracks and build playlists on the go with the same service you use for DJing is a massive bonus.

Is Spotify The Future of DJ Streaming?

With Spotify now built into rekordbox, DJs don’t have to rely entirely on downloaded music collections. You can use the same platform you already stream on every day and bring that straight into your sets.

It’s not going to replace proper DJ download stores or record pools overnight. You’ll still miss out on the edits, remixes and bootlegs that places like Beatport or SoundCloud are known for, and Spotify’s tighter rules around copyright mean some of that underground stuff won’t be available.

But it’s still a huge shift. For new DJs especially, buying music has always been one of the biggest costs. Now, if you’ve already got a Spotify Premium account, you can start mixing without building a big paid library first.

The Serato Spotify integration is available now, at no extra cost.
