Engine DJ adds support for Nanoleaf lighting
Denon DJ the company behind the Engine DJ software found in popular Denon DJ and Numark DJ products have recently announced support for lighting control of the popular Nanoleaf lighting. If you don’t know them by name you will have seen these lights in the background of many live streamers and YouTubers alike. The simple shaped LED panels can be configured easily to make a stunning backdrop for any video creator. This new update now brings automatic or programmable light shows to these lights when connected to equipment running Engine DJ software such as Denon DJ SC6000’s, Denon DJ Prime 4 or even the Numark NS4FX.

Engine DJ Performance For Hardware (OS)
New Features
- Nanoleaf Smart Lights Integration – Engine Lighting now has the ability to sync music and manually control Nanoleaf smart lights over Wi-Fi.
- Quantize is now a touchable icon on the toolbar
- Beat Jump size and Auto Loop size can now be adjusted independently. To adjust the Beat Jump size, hold Shift and press the Beat Jump back or forward button to decrease or increase the size respectively.
- Added Computer Mode and support for Virtual DJ (PRIME GO)
Improvements and Fixes
- Improved key detection accuracy during analysis
- The last selected playlist is now recalled when switching between external drive sources
- Shift + Track Skip now performs the track Search function
- Improved stability/robustness of Wi-Fi connectivity
- Fixed an issue where tracks with extended character sets would show up as missing when loaded from FAT32 drives
- Fixed an issue where certain compatible drives would falsely show up as incompatible when connected to a player
- Fixed an issue where the Beatport/Beatsource session would force the user to re-login if ran for an extended period of time
- Fixed an issue where the ‘Load to Deck’ dialog would show upon boot if an LC6000 was connected (SC5000/M, SC6000/M)
- Fixed an issue that caused the ‘Update Available’ message to show when already on the latest version
- Fixed an issue where Engine Lighting would not use Movement Effects when Autoloops were engaged

Improvements and Fixes
- Improved key detection accuracy during analysis. To utilize the improved key detection, select the desired tracks and choose ‘Re-analyze tracks’.
- Improved Sync Manager export times for large libraries and nested Playlists
- Various improvements to ‘drag & drop’ export
- Various improvements to track highlighting
- Fixed an issue where Sync Manager export would fail if the album or artist name exceeded 255 characters
- Fixed an issue that caused the ‘Update Available’ message to show when already on the latest version
- Fixed an issue where an iTunes library would fail to import fully if the library contained a Smart List and a Playlist with the same name
- Fixed an issue where tracks imported from iTunes could have incorrect metadata
- Fixed an issue where the ‘Sync To Engine’ button in Sync Manager would not match the state of syncing
- Fixed a Sync Manager issue where ‘read only’ tracks were not removed when a playlist was un-synced/unpacked from the drive

How to use Nanoleaf lighting with any DJ gear
Don’t worry, if you don’t own the Denon DJ gear or use the Engine DJ software Nanoleaf lighting is now supported in the latest version of SoundSwitch. This is the lighting solution for many DJs as it connects to nearly any DJ controller setup. This means you could use a Pioneer DJ controller with the Nanoleaf lighting as long as you purchase the SoundSwitch hardware and software.
