denon dj engine 4.1

Denon DJ has rolled out Engine DJ version 4.1.0, adding new features and important compatibility changes you need to know about. It’s available now – you can download it through Denon DJ’s official website or the Engine DJ software.

Collection Database Compatibility

In version 4.1.0, collection databases updated on a drive, USB, or SD card will not be compatible with versions 4.0 or earlier (except 4.0.1). Denon DJ recommends updating both Engine OS and Engine Desktop to 4.1.0 and backing up libraries if a downgrade is necessary.

Bluetooth Speaker Support

The following devices now support Bluetooth speaker connections:

Bluetooth integration allows DJs to connect wirelessly, ideal for mobile setups.

Smart Headphone Cue

Engine DJ 4.1.0 introduces Smart Headphone Cue, which automatically enables the cue for the most recently loaded track. This feature can be accessed under Settings → Mixer.

Slip Mode for Prime GO and GO+

Slip Mode, now on Prime GO and GO+ (accessed by pressing Shift + Vinyl), allows DJs to scratch or manipulate tracks while the underlying playback continues, creating seamless transitions. This brings Denon in line with a a popular feature found in a lot of Pioneer/AlphaTheta gear.

Enhanced Autoloop Functionality

Engine DJ 4.1.0 also enhances autolooping with the following updates:

  • Increased Autoloop Count: DJs can now create up to 128 autoloops.
  • Active Autoloop Visual Feedback: Visual indicators show active loops for better control.
  • Autoloop Override: Loops can override scripted tracks when triggered.
  • Autoloop Repeat Preferences: New options for customized loop repetitions.

Engine Lighting Enhancements

Engine’s ability to control lighting has made it one of the best bets for event DJs and it’s just got a whole lot more powerful with some new enhancements to give you extra control.
