Spotify Integration Arrives in rekordbox for Mac/Windows.
AlphaTheta has just announced a huge update for DJs. rekordbox for Mac/Windows now supports Spotify integration. This means DJs with a Spotify Premium account can access the streaming platform’s 100M+ track catalogue directly inside rekordbox. This is a huge step forward as millions of us already use Spotify every day to discover new music, and being able to find new tracks and build playlists on the go with the same service you use for DJing is a massive bonus.

Is Spotify The Future of DJ Streaming?
With Spotify now built into rekordbox, DJs don’t have to rely entirely on downloaded music collections. You can use the same platform you already stream on every day and bring that straight into your sets.
It’s not going to replace proper DJ download stores or record pools overnight. You’ll still miss out on the edits, remixes and bootlegs that places like Beatport or SoundCloud are known for, and Spotify’s tighter rules around copyright mean some of that underground stuff won’t be available.
But it’s still a huge shift. For new DJs especially, buying music has always been one of the biggest costs. Now, if you’ve already got a Spotify Premium account, you can start mixing without building a big paid library first.
The Serato Spotify integration is available now, at no extra cost.

I have an old version of MAC – is the integration valid for any rekordbox version?
You need rekordbox version 7.2.3
Hi there I’m so glad that this option to use Spotify in recordbox . Unfortunately I get this message that this option is not available in your country .
Is there any way around that ? Please help
Unfortunately, this is currently only available in 51 countries worldwide at launch. More may be added later but we’ve got no news on that
Is the new Spotify update on rekordbox compatible with the xdj-rx
Yeah, if you’re using it with rekordbox it’ll work like any other controller. You can’t stream in standalone though
Will Spotify be added to Export mode any time soon?
We’d be surprised as currently it’s for non-commercial use
I never thought this would happen, how they kept that a secret is amazing! Huge kudos to Spotify for doing this!
Whoo Hooo!!! For this is a game changer……about time & thank you ❤️
