Will this work with my exact Numark controller?
Yes. We officially support the Party Mix III and Mixtrack GO, and every lesson adapts to the controller you own and the software you choose.
Serato or djay: which should I pick?
Either is great, and we’ll guide you. Pick whichever you’ve got installed; the course adjusts to it, and you can switch later.
Is it really free? Do I need a card?
Your first 8 lessons are completely free, forever, and we never ask for a card to start. You only pay if you later choose to unlock the full course.
I’ve never DJ’d before. Is this too advanced?
It’s built for total beginners. We assume zero experience and start from plugging in your controller, one short step at a time.
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll pick your controller and software, then go straight to your first lesson. That’s it. You can be mixing the same day you unbox.
Do I need to buy the music used in the lessons?
No — all the music used in the course is included. On djay, the tracks are already in the app’s built-in catalogue, so they’re ready to load. On Serato DJ Lite, we give you a download link so you can follow along, step by step, with every lesson.
What can I watch the lessons on?
Any device, 24/7, as many times as you need, plus offline viewing in our iOS app so you can learn on the go.
Are the lessons available in my language?
Lessons are taught in English, with subtitles available in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese and Chinese — so you can follow along wherever you are in the world.
